In a vibrant celebration of World Cultural Day, pupils and teachers from Coral Springs Model School, Abuja embarked on an enlightening excursion to the Sudanese Embassy. This fact-finding mission aimed to explore and understand the rich cultural heritage of Sudan, offering pupils a unique and immersive educational experience.
The excursion, themed "Our Shared Stories - Celebrating Together," was marked by a series of engaging activities where students learned about various aspects of Sudanese culture. The pupils were introduced to traditional Sudanese fashion, wedding customs, culinary delights, religious practices, and other facets of daily life. Embassy staff provided detailed explanations and demonstrations, ensuring that the pupils gained a comprehensive understanding of Sudanese traditions and cultural values.
The Sudanese Ambassador to Nigeria, Amb. Mohamed Yousif Ibrahim Abdelmanna, warmly received the pupils and highlighted the significance of cultural exchange and understanding. He emphasized that learning about other cultures fosters mutual respect and appreciation, and he was delighted to share the beauty of Sudanese culture with the young minds from Coral Springs Model School.
The pupils enthusiastically participated in the various sessions, asking questions and interacting with the members and staff of the embassy.
